This is a tug of words. Get the knot over your line to win!
You'll see the rope at the top — this shows you how well you're doing. Whenever you bag a word, the points you earn tug the rope towards your side. Bag enough points to get the knot over your line and you win!
This is where your letters go after you select them. Your current score will also appear here.
Have fun!
Each successful BAG scores points, which tug the rope knot toward your edge. The score for a word is its base score (by length) plus any premium-letter bonuses.
| Tiles | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Score | 1 | 3 | 6 | 10 | 15 | 21 | 28 | 36 |
The triangular numbers (1+2+…+N). Longer words grow disproportionately — an 8-tile play can swing the rope past the win threshold in one go.

Tuggle is a small word game run by an individual hobbyist developer based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK GDPR.
The data controller is Anthony Cook, sole operator of Tuggle. Contact: anthonytcook78@gmail.com.
You can play Tuggle anonymously without signing up. In that case we hold a short-lived game session token in your browser's localStorage so you can reconnect to a game in progress. No personal data is stored on our servers.
Account sign-up is optional and only required for features like leaderboards, friends, and persistent rooms. When you sign up we collect:
We may collect aggregated usage data — for example, which features are used, how often games are played, and basic interaction patterns — for internal purposes only. This is used to deliver targeted in-app notifications (such as a nudge when a friend has overtaken your leaderboard position) and to inform product development. We do not share this data with third parties for advertising.
We process this data on the basis of contract (so we can provide the game features you've asked for) and legitimate interests (running the leaderboards and friends features that make the game work).
We use a small number of trusted third-party processors to run the service:
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Any messages sent through the Tuggle ecosystem (for example, between friends or in shared rooms) are subject to automated AI screening to detect abuse, harassment, and other harmful content. Screening is applied to message content only and is used solely to keep the community safe; results are not shared with advertisers or used for profiling.
Tuggle does not use cookies for advertising or analytics. We use browser localStorage only to keep you signed in and to reconnect you to a game in progress.
Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Game history persists indefinitely so leaderboards remain accurate. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed and your past games are anonymised.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email anthonytcook78@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Tuggle is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for signed-in users, send a notification.
Trying to reconnect…
If we can't reconnect within 60 seconds, the game will be forfeited.
